We love smoking pork on our Traeger! It does take some time, but not as long as other meats can take, and believe me the wait is worth every second — it’s one of those “enjoy the fruits of your labor (Ecclesiastes)” type situations, for sure!
Food has always been a portal to my heart, a love language for sure — some like gifts, I like going out to eat or making a meal together with my hubby. I’m often the cook, which I absolutely love (it’s a therapy for me), but when hubby does the making it is very special, and always delicious!
In comes his Honey BBQ Pork Ribs. They’re absolutely delicious and oh so mouthwatering!
Hubby’s Honey BBQ Pork Ribs Recipe
Ingredients
• Yellow Mustard
• Kinder’s Brown Sugar Rub
• 100% Apple Juice
• Real Butter
• Raw Honey
Instructions
Set grill to 225°F and initiate Super Smoke.
PREPARE RIBS: Use mustard as a binder, and thoroughly rub Kinder’s Brown Sugar Rub on each rack (we used 2 large racks).
Once preheated, place ribs bone side down on grill grates of smoker for 3 hours and spray with apple juice every hour .
Pull ribs at 3 hour mark. Place ribs meat side down on 3 tos butter per rack, 1/2-1 tsp of honey per tsp of butter, and a some more more brown sugar rub (about 1/2-1 tosp or desired amount).
Wrap rib racks back up tightly in foil and place back on grill at 225°F for 2 hours or until internal temp reached 205°F.
Once ribs have reached 205°F internal temperature, unwrap ribs from foil and add your favorite BBQ sauce (we like Traeger Apricot BBQ Sauce).
Place rack(s) back on the grill for about 30 minutes then remove from smoker and let rest for 10-30 minutes.
